Inspired sonically by Fleetwood Mac and Dido, I wanted to write a song that embodied a relaxed, early 2000s pop sound. Still a few tweaks/changes afoot, I've been sitting on this one a while so I figure a soft release of a something new would be a good way to get more tunes into the world.

VERSE 1
Could've had anything I wanted
but I know I'd have to cross the line
That's as thin as a crack in the pavement
but as long as the ties that bind

I admit there are things I've squandered
what I have I considered mine
I made decisions you'd be thinking were somewhat wayward
but right at a point in time

Where to go now? a new beginning
I'm alone now, it's never easy
Would you know how, much I'd be needing
something good that's here to stay?

As the sun goes down I navigate
over bridges that I've burned that'll light the way
As I rest my head, wherever I lay

Should've changed all the ways I sorted
through every problem I seemed to find

to keep a peace of mind.

If I could change, my home or name
