about

This is a homage to 90's Pop/R&B I grew up listening to.

I was inspired by the songwriting choice Dido made for her single 'Don't Leave Home' and the interesting POV the song was being told from. I took this notion and used this to write the idea of an inanimate object and it's one way love for another human. A bit lateral in it's mechanics, but I wanted to veer away from a typical sad song about love.

The Jono Fernandez remix, an exclusive to Bandcamp, is about someone looking back on their lives and thinking about hardships. The chorus from the original song is used again, but this time, is used in terms of one's love for one's self and mind. This will feature on an upcoming EP due for release in 2021.
