It's just like you to come back again sometimes I see you, walk by chain link fencing should I assume, that we should just pretend? like we had nothing going on, between us way back then what will you find in a minute? x2 what will you find, in a moment in time no longer in existence? CH Would you say, tables have turned 180 you should see the look on your face. Time was kind enough to wait, for me to acclimate. it's just by chance, that we'd meet again (it's just by chance that we'd meet again) we're joined by circumstances brought on by old friends (brought on by old friends) what will you find in a minute? x2 what will you find, in a moment in time no longer in existence? CH do what you wanna, and say what you wanna say I know it's hard to look the other way do what you wanna, and say what you wanna say what would you find in a minute, what would you find in a day? CH

I once I once had visions once had visions about you I was I wasn't kidding when I told you I loved you PRE CH 1 Now it might seem like that was truth or dare but it looks like you were caught unaware If it's one thing or another, I can't stand being the fool always asking: CH Are you somebody that needs somebody but got somebody too? Isn't it funny how there's nobody how there's nobody like you? Enough of indecision 'bout what it is that I'm gonna do Because, I'm only winning when I'm betting against you PRE CH 2 Once upon a time I would stop and stare (you say you could get it) anytime, any place almost anywhere (but would you really want it?) But it's one thing or another, always being a fool always asking CH PRE CH 1 CH x3

Hosting parties for a friend who's really more of an acquaintance Toasting to making amends with people you'll never be talking to again Everything goes out the window when everyone tells you 'you've still got ways to go' Contemplating moving somewhere like the corners in the midst of nowhere CH There's this idea that if you're self sufficient then you'll make it in good time Otherwise you better have a good imagination There's this idea that if you're self reliant then you'd better practice patience Cause everything you'd done, up until now has turned out fine. Contact with strangers again in awkward kitchen conversation Drinking to people you've met to which you have no obligation CH There's this idea that if you're self sufficient then you'll make it in good time Otherwise you better have a good imagination There's this idea that if you're self sufficient then you'll make it in good time x4

watching the last of the daylight dissipate aint it strange how the galaxy is rearranged? I'm going nowhere quickly I'm standing still Is it strange when I'm driving down a nowhere highway watching the last of the daylight dissipate nights spent at a coin-op laundry days spent counting chump change PRE CH you say that I'm going who knows where I'll be? CH Still trying to wait in line I'm still listening for the weather I'm still waiting for the perfect time when things get better I'm running out of time I'm running out of memory I'm doing everything and anything to make it seem that everything is dandy. Time bounces and ricochets over crowded rows of small talk. Let me know where I'll find easy street where everything's a cake walk PRE CH CH BDG I just need to get some sleep I just need direction everything is stationary everything eventually I'm pushing back on gravity because I've got so many questions everything is stationary everything eventually CH BDG credits

about

An opportunity to work with production company The Light Pirate to create a music video for a past single 'Kind Enough to Wait' had popped up, and I thought it'd be a fun project to revamp parts of the song, as well as include a few new songs in an EP that I had been writing in studio with producer Jono Fernandez.

I'd also decided to include the original version of my debut 'Stationary' complete with it's original lyrics and arrangement produced by Taka Perry (as well as being unmastered complete with breathing - warts and all). I am a big fan of finding alternate versions to songs, demos etc and hearing bits and pieces of an artists' creative process, which is why I wanted to include this song.

The EP title, 'Quiet Nights at a Discotheque' originates from the 1st line of another past single, 'Easy Street'
